Location: Somerville, NJ
Issues: Education

Representative Malinowski kicked off the year with a visit to the Head Start Community Program of Morris County to learn more about this vital program that works with 333 children and their families. He was joined by Dover Mayor Carolyn Blackman. Throughout the morning he met with the students, enjoyed a performance they put on, and received a thank you card for visiting.

Since entering Congress in 2019 Representative Malinowski has prioritized early childhood education and has been a strong advocate for greater resources for the Head Start Community Program of Morris County. In this year's budget a record $10.6 billion was allocated for Head Start, an increase of $550 million from the previous year.

"One of my proudest accomplishments this past year was substantially increasing the amount going to Head Start," said Congressman Malinowski. "This program sets students up to enter Kindergarten with confidence, and gives them the tools they need to succeed."
